Strategic Thought continues to build on its success and stature in the risk management systems market. The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) has selected Strategic Thought to deliver a series of 2-day workshops on Enterprise Risk Management systems.
The first workshop was in February at the RIMS Headquarters in New York City. The second in this series of workshops is to be given on October 18-19 in San Diego at the University Club Atop Symphony Towers (a beautiful meeting site, with view across the entire city).
RIMS is the North American equivalent of FERMA (Federation of European Risk Management Associations). Both organisations exist to widen and raise the culture of risk management throughout the risk management and insurance communities through media coverage, information sharing, education and research projects. If you have been thinking about how to expand your risk management processes (maybe to expand from Program Risk Management to Enterprise Risk Management) then this event may be of interest to you. The workshop is going to focus on helping risk professionals to create business cases to justify the expansion of risk processes to executives by developing ideas and aims concerning the use of risk management systems into compelling value and benefit statements. The workshop will be universally applicable to all risk management systems. The RIMS Enterprise Risk Management System workshops are designed to help educate risk executives on:
- Understanding the key reasons organizations look to automate their ERM process
- Learning how to create and sell the business case for an ERM Information System
- Understanding the key capabilities that will solve your ERM Information challenges
- Learning how to create a strategy that will ensure the success of the deployment of your system, both short and long term
The workshop will help attendees to create paths within their organisations that will ensure success for their companies´ ERM System visions, as well as putting them in touch with other risk professionals with whom they can share and discuss ideas and issues. Should you be interested in attending, please visit the RIMS website here for further details on how to sign up to attend.
